I'm a senior at the University of Utah (expected graduation - AUG 2018) and a User Research Intern for Octothorpe's The Irregular. There is much still to learn, but I've been fortunate to be able to get hands on experience with research methods and analysis while embedded in a game development context.
EAE coursework (programming, 3d modelling, level design, story-crafting, etc.) granted hands on game dev experience and a strong vocabulary with which to communicate across disciplines.
Coursework in Psychology, HCI, and User Research helped develop skills and knowledge in Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methodologies.
The associate degrees I earned in Recording Technology and Music have been useful in recording and editing play test sessions.
Special Interests: inclusion, accessibility, psychoacoustics, virtual & augmented reality
A belief in the value of diverse voices is a driving force for me both as a professional and as a human being. As a member of several minority groups myself, I hope to make a positive impact in everything that I do. Ideally, I'd love to work with people and companies that also desire to have diverse voices represented both behind the scenes and in front of the spotlight of Games projects.
